The GOP led class warfare after it’s bizarre twists and turns through the leadership of Gov. Scott Walker’s union busting antics seems to have taken yet another bizarre and shameful turn through the actions of the Tea Party’s favorite celebrity Glenn Beck. In preparation for the 2012 election Tea Party’s class warfare campaign in an attempt to embarrass and weaken the Obama administration and the Democrats, Glenn Beck mocked President Obama’s speech on the tragedy that has befallen Japan.
On March 17th, Glenn Beck with a set backdrop mirroring the Oval Office in the White House gave a speech regarding the tragedy in Japan that Beck believes President Obama should have given. As such on national television, Glenn Beck pretending to be President of the United States gave that speech to an American and international audience numbering in the millions. This diary invites you to watch that video and decide for yourself if Glenn Beck was exploiting the terrible tragedy that has befallen the Japanese people in order to score cheap political points with his Tea Party base. At which point shouldn’t we ask, is there anything that Fox News will not do in order to gain rating points as truly these people have no shame?!
I invite you to follow me below the fold to watch this shameless video.
For anyone who is unable to watch the video, below is a partial transcript.
GLENN BECK, HOST: My fellow Americans, I know that you, like me, are heartbroken over what the people in Japan are enduring right now. It was a massive earthquake — 9.0 — you know it. You can’t avoid it. You’ve seen it everywhere. It’s one of the largest earthquakes in our planet’s history and it devastated the region and then sparked a tsunami, which wiped out entire villages and towns. We don’t know the full extent of human life lost or property damage, but it is in the tens of thousands that are lost.
The tidal wave has also overwhelmed a nuclear power plant causing what could become a nuclear meltdown that would endanger the lives of thousands more. Not here. But there. I know you’ve seen some of the pictures and videos that have come out of Japan. The devastation is overwhelming.

Let’s be clear that this was not a telethon to raise money for Japanese disaster victims but rather…
This is an obvious stunt whose sole purpose it is to embarrass the Obama administration. This attempt to weaken the Obama administration and Congressional Democrats is in the direct furtherance of the GOP led class warfare against the American working class for the coming presidential and congressional elections in 2012. The GOP through the efforts of the Fox nation and their hate radio and Teabagger minions are obviously prepared in a scorched earth policy to win at all costs, to win ugly! Let’s remember that the thousands of Japanese people have lost or have missing relatives, and in the wake of a devastating tsunami are facing a nuclear crisis with their reactors. So it is in this moment in time that President Beck enters the stage in the mind’s of many to exploit their pain and suffering with stage props of the Presidential bully pulpit, therein cheapening the office of the President and the Constitution of the United States, which President Obama has sworn to uphold. Surely these people have no shame! But then it is difficult to shame a pig isn’t it?
As an American expat living in the European Union under a strong social safety net, I am reminded on a daily basis that the GOP led class warfare has left the American working class with a large number of casualties, among which are the 59 million uninsured Americans; 132 million Americans who don’t have dental insurance; the 60 million Americans who have no paid sick leave; and the 40 million Americans currently living on food stamps. All of this has led to a recent Harvard University study conclusion that 45,000 Americans die annually, simply because they are medically uninsured. When we understand all of this, it becomes apparent that the GOP led class warfare isn’t above using the victims of the Japanese disaster in order to score cheap political points in the GOP led class warfare against the besieged American working class.
In considering the quote below from the mainstream German magazine Der Spiegel, we see that they’re right about wannabe President Beck’s Oval Office aspirations. (After all Ronald Reagan a former B movie actor became President). We see that the quote below from the Spiegel also states that Beck sometimes thinks he’s a preacher. Indeed the British newspaper the Guardian agrees with that analysis having recently published a piece comparing Glenn Beck to Father Charles Coughlin. Certainly it is absolutely clear in wake of the Arizona shooting tragedy, and the union busting in Wisconsin, that the Tea Party and Fox nation’s Glenn Beck are completely full of hatred, and that their rage has become completely out of control, which now has even fallen to the depravity of exploiting the grieving victims of the tragedy in Japan, all in the furtherance of the GOP led class warfare, win at all costs mentality.
To that end, the British Guardian newspaper has written an important piece called
Wisconsin: crucible for a new American left that deserves your attention because of this adversity has caused the American working class to reconnect to it’s socialist roots. But it’s going to take a lot more than just reconnecting with our working class roots to survive this thing. We will have to stick together, brothers and sisters arm in arm. Workers together unite in our union fight.
“Full of Hatred: The Tea Party, that group of white, older voters who claim that they want their country back, is angry. Fox News host Glenn Beck, a recovering alcoholic who likens Obama to Adolf Hitler, is angry. Beck doesn’t know what he wants to be — maybe a politician, maybe president, maybe a preacher — and he doesn’t know what he wants to do either, or least he hasn’t come up with any specific ideas or plans. But he is full of hatred.”

(British Guardian newspaper article) Glenn Beck and the echoes of Charles Coughlin
It has become clear that a hate radio, Fox nation Teabagger hate filled movement, as pers
onified through its celebrity Glenn Beck has become an international badge of shame, and an international embarrassment for America through mocking the Office of the President of the United States, therein cheapening that office on the international stage with a program which is internationally televised to an audience of millions. Whether or not you do or don’t agree with President Obama, we can still all respect the Office of the President and the Constitution of the United States. I would say shame on you Mr Beck and shame on you Fox nation, only we know that pigs have no shame!
