    Morning, meeses. Iriti strained her back yesterday, so I took today’s post for her. She will be back on Wednesday. In the meantime, I don’t know about you, but…

    It is 16 degrees in Madison with an expected high of 37. Tomorrow the high will be 23 degrees. Why does the cold, after a few warm days, feel 10 times worse?

    This is “last week of the work month” for me and as such I need to get a lot of things done. I am also learning a new organizational tool, something called OneNote which Microsoft so kindly includes with their Office suite of products. I am not sure yet how it will work for me (I am taking it slowly) but I am in danger of getting buried by my current organizational tools “stacks of papers with sticky notes” and my Inbox. The problem with the stacks of papers is that some of them are too tall and now I am afraid to see what is 4 inches deep on the tallest one. And the problem with the Inbox is that it is vertical and even nicely categorized emails soon roll off the screen, never to be seen again … or only seen when someone says “why didn’t you reply?” or “why didn’t you fix that problem?”. We shall see, as they say.

    18 degrees here in Saugerties NY – headed back to school today – my winter break is over 🙁

    Got all my papers graded – sigh

    Irritations:

    If you say a paper is to be minimum 7 pages – what’s up with the students who hand in 5?

    If you ask that they staple and number pages – why do I have all these un-numbered loose (not even paper-clipped) hand-ins?

    back to work this morning. It was 20 degrees F when I got up this morning. It was about 20 degrees C in Portugal. Not the same thing at all!!!!

    hope it heals soon. Twenty one degrees here thinking of going up to 31.

    Saw The Grand Budapest Hotel last night. Pleasant and interesting but not Anderson’s best.

    Heading for the news. Not sure whether to worry more about Crimea or Iran.

    Hope it’s a good day for all.

    What a morning. I set my alarm early, to put my wrappings back on my feet. It never went off. Thank FSM for my fitbit alarm, set for the usual time, so I at least got up… you know, at all. I’ll leave even earlier than usual, swing by home & wrap my legs as if they had been all along. Then go to the place & they’ll un-do them & do them again. As long as they don’t know they were off all day.

    And it’s cold (by Texas standards). I had already put up my really warm nightshirt, so last night, I just cranked the heat up to 70. The fact that I’m even using the heat at the end of March is weird enough. Cranking it up?

    Even with the extra half-hour of sleep, I’m still tired. Eating breakfast – sweet potato, black bean, bell pepper dish. And an apple. Drinking tea.

    Blech, Monday.

    This week is our Spring Break and I’ll be taking some time, just not sure exactly when yet.  Friday is definite as the University is closed that day 🙂 – Tomorrow is expected to be sunny and 40s, then we head back up into the 60s for the rest of the week.  I can live with that.  🙂

    Kittens and Kaffeine (or is it cittens and caffeine?  OK.  Cats and caffeine.) really are needed to get through Monday!  Thanks for providing them.

    Hope iriti and Diana feel better soon.  Not sure what to say about the sickness that Republicans (and Putin) have other than I really wish they’d get over it!  The last thing anybody on the planet needs is a disease that causes people to seek to hurt others.

    Anyway, if I’m online the rest of the week I’ll check in.  If I don’t, it’s just that I’m not online.  Haz a gud wun 🙂  {{{HUGS}}} bf

    Finishing the book I’ve been reading took precedent over being outdoors yesterday so after the pool this morning I’ll try again.

    Words of Radiance, by Brandon Sanderson is an absorbing good read if you enjoy the fantasy genre.
