Bachmann goes boom! (UPDATED)

Unhinged Whack Job Authentique Michele Bachmann is having real problems after she called Barack Obama un-American and demanded investigations into the patriotism of Democrats in Congress.  So what’s the title of the Christian Scientist Monitor story on her campaign problems?  “Bachmann’s campaign implodes – anti-Americans run wild.”  And how does The Fix describe the race? “Bachmann Goes Boom!”

Final Trackers of the Day

The last tracker of the day is in, but first let me review the one that came in during the early afternoon.

Gallup Daily has great news:

Registered Voters

Obama 52

McCain 41

This is the same set of numbers Gallup found yesterday.

Expanded Likely Voter Model (Intent to vote)

Obama 52

McCain 42

Yesterday, the expanded likely voter model showed a 52-43 spread, so McCain dropped another point.  Yesterday’s nine-point spread in this model is now a 10-point spread.

First trackers of the day

The one thing we do not lack now is data.  In some ways, there just seems to be too much of it, but here goes.

Michele Bachmann, Whack Job Authentique, not only called Barack Obama un-American on Hardball, she called for the reestablishment of the House Un-American Activities Committee to throw all those godless liberals out of Congress.  To top it off, she seems to have gone and pushed Colin Powell over the edge with his public endorsement of Barack Obama.  Clearly, Michele is weary and needs to go into retirement, but she needs our financial assistance to retire.  Fortunately, we Democrats are doing a good job at putting together a nice kitty to send her away in grand style.

Magic Vote Changing Machines Come to West Virginia

The Charleston Gazette in Charleston, West Virginia has a story about West Virginia electronic machines where a voter casts a ballot for Obama but registers a vote for McCain:

Three Putnam County voters say electronic voting machines changed their votes from Democrats to Republicans when they cast early ballots last week.

This is the second West Virginia county where voters have reported this problem. Last week, three voters in Jackson County told The Charleston Gazette their electronic vote for “Barack Obama” kept flipping to “John McCain”.
