So, it seems that the first diary has lost steam. That means it’s time to take on the next part of the Constitution, although I did have a very profound final comment that I’m sure you’ll want to read.

I initially was going to go one article at a time, but I think that might be too much. So, I start with the meat and potatoes of the document.

Hey Moosers!

I’ve been away for awhile, don’t really know why but things happen. Well I’m back now and was hoping to start what I know this place is best at … a conversation.

This thought came to me after watching BookTV on CSPAN2 (which I watch since I’m super cool) about the Constitution and I basically took their title and changed one word.

I want to talk about our Constitution here in the US and what it might mean to change anything in it.

Do I love government?

This was the first thought that popped into my head when the accusation that I did was carelessly thrown across Facebook.

Do I love government?

So I started thinking about the people that I love. What characteristics about them lead me to that feeling?

They protect from harm.

They help me make myself better.

They help me find the resources to improve my life.

The Idiocy That Is Mitt Romney

So here’s our good friend Mitt:

Now, I expect a lot of stupidity from the Republican presidential candidates but today Mitt wrote something that is pretty amazing.

Hey fellow Moosers, I need some help. I have a friend that has a blog, he’s basically a revolutionary, all talk, but basically a revolutionary. He is pretty smart and he has a history degree.

So, I finally got him to come off the ledge and think about some policy. Of course, him being him, it’s pretty extreme.

What I was hoping for is that some of my Mooser friends can help me ease into this policy idea formation thing he’s trying. I’m going to copy and paste the blog with the few comments that are made so far.

If you feel so inclined, maybe you can comment on his blog to help him out, or if you don’t want to do that, maybe you can comment here and I’ll paste it over there.

So, what do you think? Can you help me ease this guy into the fight?

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs

I don’t write a lot of diaries, but I’ve had a lot of ideas running around my head the last couple weeks about how to help put the economy and job creation right overall for the country.

I really have two main interests outside of politics. I enjoy reading about and discussing economic issues and education issues. I’ll save the education ones for another day, but I wanted to kind of have an open discussion about some of the ideas I had and maybe fine tune them or throw them out completely.

So, as much as I appreciate pure opinion I would appreciate a more constructive approach to this diary. If you don’t think it’s a good idea of course say so, but please say why and I’m hoping you would have some links to back it up.

If you do like the ideas, I would love to hear that as well and if you have some additional resources that would reinforce the idea I would love that too.

Some of the ideas aren’t complete either so if you know how to connect the remaining dots I look forward to that too.
