Interrogatories

Can you give directions well? Can you follow directions well? Does asking for directions come easily for you? 😉

How are you at folding maps?

Do you ever bring your own food or drinks into movie theaters? What do you bring?

Do you watch the Olympics? If yes, what are your favorite competitions? Do you think we should boycott next year’s Winter Olympics (in Russia)?

Apparently the Tea Party decided to boycott Ebony for issuing 4 covers dedicated to Trayvon Martin:

You captured the essence … and this one you found pretty much says it all:

#WhitePeopleBoycottingEBONY is now entering its 68th year!

    It is NOT breaking news.

Directions: I can give directions by email, I need to write them out. (Yes, Iriti & trs, I know there was no stop sign. My bad.)

I can follow directions if I read them step by step while driving. No, I have never had a wreck doing this but it’s a near thing.

I’ve asked directions in some of the worst neighborhoods in DC; the answer was always preceded by concerned looks and “Lady, you shouldn’t be here!”

Maps: I fold ’em fine but I can’t read ’em.

Movies: Haven’t been to a movie in years.

Winter olympics: Yes, I like ice skating like everybody else. I think Russia will renege.

No, no and yes. Because I am bad at #2 I often have to ask more than once.

How are you at folding maps?

    Well, they do get smaller…..

Do you ever bring your own food or drinks into movie theaters? What do you bring?

    No

Do you watch the Olympics? If yes, what are your favorite competitions? Do you think we should boycott next year’s Winter Olympics (in Russia)?

I watch some of it. I like gymnastics, diving and I also like to watch the sports we almost never see during the other 3 years and 11 months.

I don’t think we should boycott the games. I don’t think that works very well. Stephen Fry makes an analogy to the 1936 games in Hitler’s Germany. Without getting into whether Hitler = Putin, I’d say that the best thing was that Jesse Owens clobbered the Aryans.

Directions:  yes but I only use the words north, south, east and west so some people don’t have a clue what I am saying.  Left and right are too subjective for proper directions. ; )

Movies:  I don’t go to the movies, too expensive, too noisy.  To many damn cell phones.

Olympics:  I love the Olympics.  In winter I like skiing and skating and the biathalon and hockey. Summer I like track and field and love the swimming.

Boycott?  I think Russia’s laws concerning homosexuality are barbaric and would love to see some sort of formal protest.  If that is a boycott, then so be it.

One of the stores a winning ticket was sold at is one that I do shop at regularly, but I didn’t buy any tickets there (was in a work pool instead; we didn’t win).

    Q&A:

Can you give directions well? Can you follow directions well? Does asking for directions come easily for you? 😉   I can give directions well if it’s an area or task that I know well.  Following directions – depends.  I can follow my GPS, and I was good at following maps before that.  Following spoken directions without a physical reference sheet, not so much.

How are you at folding maps?  I used to be good at it.  Haven’t done it in over a decade though.

Do you ever bring your own food or drinks into movie theaters? What do you bring?  I don’t normally go to the theater, but when I do, I don’t bring anything in with me.

Do you watch the Olympics? If yes, what are your favorite competitions? Do you think we should boycott next year’s Winter Olympics (in Russia)?   I don’t have TV anymore, so I only see clips online every now and then.  Used to love watching figure skating, swimming/diving, and gymnastics.  I don’t think we should boycott, but I agree with Takei that they should be moved.

    Louis Valtat … fauvist fetishist?

Yikes! The Dave Clark Five was from 1964? But I remember them!

Regarding Rand Paul, Tweety thinks he is “the guy”: Chris Matthews: Rand Paul Will Be The 2016 GOP Nominee (VIDEO)

I predict the hard right is gonna take over the Republican party in 2016 and the nomination is going to Rand Paul.”

“You watch,” he said in closing. “This is what I do for a living.”

Pardon me while I laugh out loud at Mr. ThrillRunsUpMyLeg and Mr. ChicksLoveCodpieces … psst, Tweety, you are a legend only in your own mind.

Other “experts” think it will be between Rand Paul and Chris Christie: Rand Paul vs. Chris Christie: A New Hampshire cage match. Polls from New Hampshire show Christie at 21% and Paul at 16%.

Speaking of Chris Christie, this really ticks me off:

The latest survey from Quinnipiac University found Christie crushing his Democratic challenger, state Sen. Barbara Buono, 58 percent to 30 percent. Christie has the support of 62 percent of men and 56 percent of women. The two candidates are essentially split among Hispanics, with Buono claiming a narrow 43 percent to 41 percent edge.

I try not to say mean things about voters but, really, what on earth is in the water in Blue New Jersey that makes these women overlook that Chris Christie is no different from any other Republican in his disrespect for women and working class families? And that when you support someone like this you encourage him and others to continue their assaults on their rights? Yes, he once hugged President Obama and he likes Bruce Springstein. And everyone wanted to have a beer with George W. Bush … how did that turn out?

I knew I was missing someone’s birthday. In my defense — all the chairs were out of the office, computers & phones unplugged….so it was an interesting morning & one of my co-workers’ computer never recovered from being unplugged & the IT guys never came up all freaking day, so my call center was down a person. Yay.

Anyway, Edge’s birthday. You picked a good video that shows off some nice guitar playing. But — in this one, he has the sexiest moment – and he doesn’t get to be the sexy one often:
